Sustainability Strategy

AIC rubber is striving to become the first reclaimed butyl rubber manufacturer in Pakistan to incorporate environmentally sustainable practices, leading to social development and less carbon emissions. Annually, AIC rubber conducts risk assessments and formulates risk reduction strategies, taking all stakeholders on board. Each AIC manufacturing facility is committed to conserving energy, manufacturing products while being eco-friendly, reducing water wastage, and protecting the biodiversity around the vicinity.

To play its part in reducing carbon emissions, AIC is taking drastic measures to achieve zero carbon emissions and become carbon neutral by the end of 2030. To reach this goal, AIC is developing a carbon-neutral roadmap and carrying out strategic changes in the entire butyl-reclaimed rubber manufacturing process for better environmental protection.

Achievements:
Recycling the water used during reclaimed butyl rubber washing and the manufacturing process for minimal water wastage. Implementation of safety guidelines in every AIC manufacturing facility. Regular health checkups and treatments for AIC employees. Hosting employee workshops for professional training, resulting in virtually no accidents or harm to employees.
Goals:
Establishing rigorous environmental policies and goals. Use of energy-efficient manufacturing processes that help reduce greenhouse gases. Shifting to the use of renewable energy (Solar energy according to feasibility) Implementing pollutant reduction activities to prevent wastewater pollution. Working on climate change response policies.
